Global Awareness Day – 16 June
This day was created by Handing the Shame Back’s Founder and CEO Gloria Masters in 2023, and is dedicated to raising awareness of child sexual abuse, honouring the survivors of yesterday, today and tomorrow, and most importantly, shifting the silence.
Here’s how you can get involved:
❤️ Join us for a 30-minute walk at 10am your local time, WHEREVER YOU ARE in the world. If 16 June falls on a weekday, feel free to do your walk the closest weekend day. Around the world, landmarks will be lit in red, white, and black to honour this cause.
❤️ Swap your profile picture with our HTSB logo to help raise awareness and boost visibility across social media.
❤️ Share the Global Hand Sign with least one other person. It is a simple yet powerful way to spread the message and raise awareness. Learn the Global Hand Sign.
