About us

While writing her memoir Gloria Masters founded HTSB as a way to offer hope to other survivors, by showing that if she could recover and heal, they could too. Our mission is to prevent child sexual abuse through action and support survivors of it.

Our story

The journey began in January 2022 with the launch of the Handing the Shame Back (HTSB) podcast and YouTube channel, which provide resources, interviews, and information for survivors of Child Sexual Abuse (CSA).

The overwhelming silence surrounding CSA made it apparent that much more support was needed.

While writing On Angels' Wings: My Flight from Trauma to Grace, Gloria Masters founded HTSB to share her story. Her goal was to offer hope by showing that if she could recover and heal, others could too.

Our goal is to reach as many survivors as possible, offering resources and a safe space for them to share their stories. We ensure they are seen, heard, and believed.

Silence to action

  • Normalise the conversation on Child Sexual Abuse, shifting from shame to awareness.

  • Prevent CSA through education and action, fostering a culture of intervention.

  • Empower society to break the cycle, support survivors, return the shame to offenders, and protect children from further harm.
